Double Majority

Voting that requires two separate majority outcomes.

The majority in question may be a simple majority or supermajority

Examples to double majority include: majority of votes in two different levels of the parliament, majority of votes in both federal and state/provincial legislatures, majority of votes in the parliament and the referendum.

Double majority is used when making decision that are considered to be extremely important.
